Happy New Year Canoe Trippers. Only 3 more months until the soft-water season up here in Canada
What gets me through the winter is creating overly verbose trip reports of my summer adventures. (That and planning upcoming adventures!) Quetico had been on my bucket list for years but it isn't exactly a short drive from southern Ontario. Well, I finally got there last July. What an incredible place. Now I know what all you Minnesotans are on about!
Here is my report of my 10-day solo trip through a good chunk of the eastern part of the park. I would have seen more of it if not for a knee injury portaging past Louisa Falls, the point where I was furthest away from my vehicle. Alas, things can happen out there. I spent a bit of time on this one and I hope you enjoy it if you take the time to read it. Quetico was totally worth the drive and I'll be back there for sure!
