Bears while canoe camping

We only have black bears in the lower half of the province. And this is one BIG black bear. Like most black bears in the bush proper, that are not habituated to humans, she skulked away when we encroached upon her territory. No worries at all. You just have to be noisy so they know you are there.

I don't think bears are a big concern. I only have one friend who was attacked on a trip.(sleeping in his tent) But wait, I don't have many friends, and even fewer that trip. Maybe they are a concern.
