I've heard that Hornbeck is moving into the Midwest and going to be opening a shop in the Twin Cities. Should be interesting to see how they do, lot's of pack boats in the NE but not so much in the Midwest.

When my wife picks up her 14 lb. "Lost Pond" and carries it to the put-in, people stare at "how strong she must be". Those that come over and ask about the Hornbeck are still amazed when they pick it up. They are usually used to the weight of a Grumman or a fishing kayak.
Outstanding! With over a dozen different hulls, though, I imagine they would only offer a subset of their current lineup. The cost of duplicating all those molds would be enormous.
