Where the kayak and the body of Herb Pohl were found. Turned out that he had capsized in the standing waves at the mouth of the Michipicoten River.

The daymarker has a history.. Its also a roughwater learning ground.

First campsite at start of Horton River trip at Horton Lake, NWT.

Graves of John Hornby, his nephew Edgar Christian, and Harold Adlard near the remains of the cabin they built and tried to overwinter in on the Thelon River, NWT in 1926/27. They died of starvation. Poor planning. It can happen to the best of us. Edgar's journal of their last days was discovered in the small stove and it is a grizzly read.
