Greetings-
Piecing together a Bob's Special 15' that was partially built decades ago. In need of a plywood stem mold (or full size plan for that station) to create outer stem. Willing to pay a reasonable fee. Thank you.

Nancy, the Canoecraft book has plans for the Bobs Special. If you don't have that book, there is probably a snapshot of the page online that would give you the offsets. You can send the "reasonable fee" to Glen as a contribution to Canoetripping if you wish.

Most cost effective way is likely to just buy a copy of CanoeCraft, even a used one will work : https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/canoe...5WcaAo1dEALw_wcB#idiq=4256795&edition=3698803

If you are unsure of how to use that table of offsets, I have a write up, it really isn't that hard. Then you could just do them yourself.

Hi Brian-I do have a copy of Canoecraft, and, you are correct, I am unsure of how to use a table of offsets. If you have an article, some guidance you can share I would be most appreciative. Thank you!

Was going to reference the thread from BearMountain, the site doesn't appear functional, so I have reposted it on this site, in the DIY section here:

It gets you the drawings, and this post in my last build shows how I like to transfer them to the target material for the molds.

I have a Bobs Special and live in York Maine. If you are interested coming up and tracing the stem on my canoe, you are welcomed. I needed to rebuild the stem on my bobs.

Thank you Peter-I appreciate your kind offer-you're not too far from me! Will reach out as the opportunity to travel North presents itself. Thanks again!

This is great, Brian-thank you for the sage advice and the tips for transfer to mold material!
