replacing Wenonah adjustable seat

I have a Wenonah Vagabond, 14'6" and 40lb, which I absolutely love while hating the Wenonah adjustable seat it came with..
the seat rattles and bangs a lot, isn't very comfortable, and doesn't let me kneel as it's too low in front.
Has anyone replaced this seat ?
It's mounted on steel plates, so not immediately clear to me how to hang a standard seat. Gunwales on this boat are metal/vinyl so not easily drilled to add a hanger.

Out on Spinney Mt reservoir, which is now 20ft higher than in this picture from May..

Yeah, I hated the ones on my Vagabond UL Kevlar. The angle Wenonah chose was too steep for my taste; I ended up securing the plates on both sides to the brackets on the gunnels at the angle and height that I like with four screws. No more adjustment, but I never really did that anyway.
