Nokomis Wood Workers First Canoe Build

OK ! I pulled out the scale and weighed the Nokomis build.

I was surprised to find it weighed 46 # ! I was guessing it would come in under 40. But that's what the scale said !

For now the canoe can be paddled nicely with a simple cushion to sit on. I'm offering a seat, as an additional option. If i install a seat, it will be one of my contoured snow shoe laced seats.

Thanks for the tips, and brian i have been looking at your post as well. All good info, when my boats starts to make more headway i will update my thread instead of continuing to high jack jim's here

We have finally raffled the canoe !

I hope to get pics of the new owner receiving his canoe soon !

The Winner, Steve Peters of Humboldt Iowa, bought 6 tickets during our Fall Open house.
I'm pleased the canoe went locally, and will be in good hands !

As a builder, I like to see my work cared for ! They aren't just canoes to me !
