Looking for a bit of advice or help. I have a Pat Moore Peter Pond II canoe that I would love to have restored. We purchased it directly from Pat Moore in early 1977 in Indianapolis. We met him at his shop on a Saturday to take a look at it, it had a slight blemish in the hull gel coat and he gave a us good deal. On a side note after we purchased it we ran into him again while paddling a local river, he was solo in what I believe was a first generation Dandy. For quite a few years, we paddled almost every weekend on Midwestern rivers and a couple of wilderness trips in Canada. My wife and I both loved this canoe and would love to it paddle it again, especially since we now live on a lake. I believe the hull is in good shape, seats, etc., but needs work. The aluminum gunnels are separated from the hull, but also in good shape and need to be reinstalled. I seems that they were installed using round wooden pegs that went through the hull and fit inside the gunnel channel. The wooden pegs have rotted. I’m open to having wooden gunnels installed as well.Hello, I dugout another Pat Moore Mold over the weekend and wash off some of the 20 plus year South Carolina sand. It took several hours to get the cedar strip plug out of the mold. It was really wedged in there after 20 years. I unfortunately damaged the mold some so repairs will have to take place before I can make my first canoe. It looks like it will be fun to make and paddle. I don’t know if it’s the Reverie II or Andante? I am hoping for Andante because I can’t seem to find one in existence but either way it will be a great learning experience. Thanks Dustin

I’m hoping to find someone who restores old canoes who can help get this one back on the water. We live in SC and have searched locally and haven’t been able to find anyone. There are plenty of fiberglass boat repair shops, but none that I have confidence in. Hoping to find someone who appreciates canoes and ideally is at least familar with this one. If I can find the right person/shop to do the work I’m willing to deliver just about anywhere.
Looking for recommendations. Thanks.
