You do have to protect the Bialetti handle from fire. I've thought of retrofitting mine with an antler on the lid and handle.
It will not dribble if you pour it slooowly. Don't rush the brewing, you want all the Crema to come bubbling into the upper chamber. With practice, you will be able to hear when it is done. For a treat, chew some fresh lemon peel while sipping the espresso, it takes any bitterness out. La Bella Vita!
