Big Unveiling

Apparently it has some roots in the Sawyer Shockwave. I'm not a big fan of the Shockwave although I know others love it. I like the Summersong. I'd be curious to paddle the Cruiser since they added a little bit of rocker to the Shockwave. One thing I do not like is that it looks like it would be impossible to kneel with the way the front of the slider is supported. Plus my wife says the boat is funny looking.

I'm with Turtle and would be more curious to try the Prospector 14. Bill Swift says it's a sweet little boat but then again he may be biased.

:)

Not meant for the kneeling paddler who is becoming a rarer gem.. Its a sit and switch boat. The extreme narrow tumblehome points to that. Your wife would have issues with some Savage River or Jensen racers!

It was really hemp, but I like calling it burlap, it rattles peoples cages. Never made sense to me.

Interesting stern profile unlike most performance canoes with a plum stern for max water line.

Yes, that is curious. Usually if a boat is performance oriented enough that they're doing non-convexities in the gunwhales you don't see any concessions to touring practicality like curved stems or rocker. They didn't say whether it would meet 14.375% class constraints. It's great to see innovation in fast C1's, but it strikes me as something of a V8 Gremlin.

A V8 Gremlin! Love it! I don't like all the curvy gunwales, I'm sure they serve a purpose, but it looks like it's been prematurely wrapped around a rock and then straightened out by a distraught owner.
