I've been fishing the Northwoods of Maine for over 30 years. This canoe was made by Ron Cote in Biddeford maine. All materials in the boat were harvested in the area and milled by him. This boat has some years on it and some awesome memories. It definitely needs refurbishing but is very solid and probably could be used with a little bit of TLC as is. I'd hate to cut it up to get rid of it. But I'm moving south for retirement. If anyone is interested it's in Massachusetts, and you're welcome to come pick it up for free.
Where in MA? What size outboard would work well for this? Asking for a friend… This would be tough to hide from the wife.

Tewksbury. I've used a 5hp, and a 9.9hp. 2 strokes.
Oof that’s a hike for me considering I would have a less than ideal means to transport it.

Wow, very generous! I would love to refurbish that and add it to my fleet! I hope someone takes you up on it.
The big canoes were used by professional outdoor people for a century or more. Trappers, prospectors, surveyors and hunters.
