I'm testing the waters on selling my '87 Nomad in fiberglass. Weighs about 44#. It is good/great condition, with ash trim and only mild scratching. I haven't been following the classifieds too closely. Any idea what a reasonable market rate would be during this time of year, or spring for that matter?

Here is a two year old thread discussing a very similar topic:

Hemlock has a “used” Kevlar nomad on their site. My understanding is this boat was only paddled a handful of times and is in “like-new” condition. It’s been on their page for a while now even with a price reduction.

Shhh! That's what I'm scheming to buy!!! I've always thought that the only reason I'd sell my Nomad is if I could replace it with a kevlar version. Lo and behold, look what showed up on Dave's site this summer.
I test paddled that Nomad that Hemlock has. Its a lovely boat. Only downside is that the bucket seat didn't fit me very well and is a bit more than I'm willing/able to spend right now.

Are you still looking to sell your FG model? If, so where are you located?

Indeed I'm still willing to sell, as long as I can coordinate it with buying the one at Dave's! I'm near Norwich VT.

Cool! Would you be willing to send me some photos and maybe we can agree on a tentative offer? If that feels solid enough, maybe we can a work on logistics of exchange from there?

I hope you folks can swing a Nomad deal, but allow a brief tangent to repeat a request I periodically make. Because canoeing is a geographic sport, please add your location to the Account Details page in your profile, which will cause it to show under your avatar as a clickable map link. Many of the site's technical features are explained in Features: Help and How-To Running Thread.
