Xmas Gear.

New Goal Zero camping lanterns for my camping kit...one large, one small. Stunningly effective, but a bit pricey (I now want one more + of each for basecamping and emergency kit)

Rippy is building me a new knife...should be awesome....lol

One of my gifts arrived today. My son gave me a gift card and I went straight to the Duluth Pack catalog, hat suspenders and some window stickers. Yahoo!

My lovely wife got me a new pair of Steger mukluks to replace my 20 year old pair that the canvas was finally giving up the ghost on. Unfortunately winter hasn't arrived yet here in central NYS so they're still sitting in the box.

That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.

Got a Mora Companion "robust" bushcraft knife. It ain't the Ripster, but it will do for me. Now I have to learn how to sharpen a knife. I guess a Speedy Sharp just isn't gonna cut it anymore (pun intended).

Also got a Pocket Bellows. Check out the video on the linked page and then tell me this is not the coolest gadget ever.

Also got and read Canoe Country: the Making of Canada by Roy McGregor. Fun read.
