There was a canoe racing circuit in the States and Northern Ontario in the 70's. One of the races occurred in a town 80k from me. The video below is from 1968, and if you are looking at how people get in and out of canoes quickly, there are some good examples.

Yeah. Kinda like that - but in my practice without the stem dragging from the bank. Racers and dugout owners might not care.
