Has anyone brought a Trail camera along on solo camping trip ?

I think it would be great fun to see what went on in camp, either while I was gone, or when I was asleep !

I have thought about taking mine, never have though. When I do that canoe in deer camp in the Adks every fall it should come along but I have it set up in the area I hunt at home and it's always exciting to get home and see what's going on here. (and of course to see my wife too...haha)

I've never used a trail camera but made a discovery on what goes with wildlife wandering around here at night... skunks. After some damage in the garden, a live trap set out at night caught skunks more often than raccoons, which were known to be offenders in the past. Skunks seem to be pretty quiet in the trap, unlike raccoons which will try and chew their way out (it was a DIY wooden trap). They're quiet out in the trails as well, don't run away and after finding out how many skunks hang out around here, I've become paranoid about walking around at night and stepping on one. For some reason a skunk sprayed near the house one night and the air after that became almost unbreathable... unbelievably bad.

...and sometimes you don't need a camera to finally see what has been making a racket off in the woods...they (a black bear) comes into your camp in the dark and steals your food bag (happened 2 years ago in the ADKs) as your back is turned and comes back again, more aggressively. And you don't sleep all night and pretty sure you hear heavy footsteps outside your tent that night.
