A few weeks ago I needed to fixe some leeks on 2 of my flotation I use in the ww canoe. I didn't want to use seam grip or the like... So I thought I will get some Tenacious tape. But I couldn't find anything in town, so I remember seeing some Gorilla tape repair tape at Canadian Tire... I found better, T-rex tape, $9 for a role(not really big, but a lot more than what you get for the same price of tenacious tape) and it works awesome, I applied it to 2 type of material, some plastic(vinyl) and some nylon bags and it is still there. They even say that it can be applied to a wet surface if the surface is smooth!!

Anyway, it is in the repair kit from now on!!

Wow better the Gorilla tape? I just started using that and thought is was good. This could end up worst then trying to find the prefect camp chair. And CLEAR to Boot so you don't have this huge flag on the side of your boat that screams to everyone 'I screwed up'.

This is definitely different than " duck tape", or the gorilla brand of duck tape, different uses! I would use this where ever you would have used Tareaid or Tenacious tape...https://www.gearaid.com/collections/care-repair/products/tenacious-tape?variant=28044148753

I will still use Hurricane tape or gorilla tape where things need strength and abrasion resistance. but for mattress, rain gear, tents, jackets, stuff sacks etc I will use T-rex

I have used the T-Rex tape and Gorilla Tape and both are very good. I'm not sure that I would call one better.

I didn't want to call one better than the other, T-rex claim it can stick to wet surfaces and surfaces below freezing... And we are talking clear repair tape here right not the Duct tape type tape... I know Gorilla tape make a clear repair tape as well, but I never tried it.

I missed the "clear" part. I have only used the black T-Rex tape, which seems roughly equivalent to Gorilla Tape.

We don't even get that type up here, lots of gorilla and duck tape, but no T-rex duck tape type.

I've seen the T-Rex tape, but not tried it. I have used Gorilla tape, and still do, but the adhesive dries out with age and the tape comes off. The best results that I have had with a "Duct" tape have been with Scotch clear duct tape. The clear T-Rex tape may be similar. The adhesive on most brands of duct tape that I have used doesn't seem to have a very long life.
