Quality Phillips head screwdrivers?

My quest for a pack of several different Phillips head size and length screwdrivers was in vain. Every multi pack deal included half as many flat heads, and I already have too many of those in good condition.

That may have been a good thing. I rarely use the giant number 3, although I do need to clean and file that tip for when I do. It was easier to buy a decent quality No. 1 x 3 inch and similar No. 2 x 4 inch Phillips head screwdriver.

I may hang those in obscura yet convenient, and direct shop visitors to the best of the rest.

And, yeah, not use them when I am punching holes in sheetrock for plastic anchors, or stuff them into greasy truck parts, at least not without cleaning them afterwards.

Yes, I left out the mini Philips sizes, but I don't believe that's what we are talking about. Most are #2. There are a lot of screwdrivers out there with good steel-not just snap-on- hard but not brittle. One other thing that helps is that you have access to a sandblaster- doing the tip to roughen it helps. We used to use a spark plug sandblaster--yes I'm dating myself. if your screw is in something solid-(not a wood gunnel) nothing beats a hand or power impact driver.

I've been using a couple of these for years now....

Actually, mine are "5 in 1", which has been superseded by the 6 in 1 (the new one has two sizes of nut driver). The bits are shaped correctly and show no signs of wearing out. I keep one in my woodworking tool cabinet and one in my mechanic tool cabinet, and I rarely use any other manual driver for slot or Phillips.
