When I was at Georges River Canoe shop here in Maine recently, the owner, Bruce Larson pointed out an Old Town canoe he was working on for a customer.
The original owner was the actor Liam Neeson, I'm not sure of the details but he mentioned it might have been after the actor was in the movie The Mission where he spent some time in native dugouts. I'm not sure how the current owner knew the canoe belonged to Neeson, maybe the Old Town serial number provided the information.

Yes, I didn’t see the movie, (The Mission) and didn’t know DeNiro was in it, but I only mentioned Neeson because of that old Old Town I saw in the shop that had belonged to him. I need to watch the movie.
That guy at the water’s edge right of center appears to be living up to the stereotype.

My wife claims that during his 2nd term, he was coming out to give a speech and stood on the wrong side of the podium facing away from the audience. She said Nancy came out and turned him around, and he stated, "Oh there you are", and went on with his speech. My wife said I was watching it with her, but I don't remember. Does anyone remember that? The presidents back then got more respect from the press, and general population then they do now. I was curious if my wife was mistaken or if I'm mentally slipping. Just curious.
