Thanks Glen. It still needs work. The stern seat is covered with a peice of plywood and The cane on the bow seat started to fail. It performed well though.
pretty good for the price.. I've just put web seats over the old cane on a couple of older boats, it's worked well.
we had a Penobscot 186 in R-lite for some years, it was a terrific boat - pretty quick on flatwater, capable in whitewater. AKA 'The mothership', biggest boat on any trip we took..
Unfortunately I got old and found its 80-plus pounds a burden. Sold it to my neighbor and he takes his kids out in it now, so at least I still have visitation rights ;-)
