New to the forum and glad I found it!!! I currently have the winter blues but to cure it I'm trying to find a new river for a one/two night trip. I'm looking for a river that is just like the Saco river in Maine but with out all the partying/crowds. I love how the Saco is crystal clear, flat water and can make camp on almost any sand bar/riverbank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the group. Our annual trip is to the Allagash, there is a couple class 2s and you have to camp in designated areas, but with a 250' drop in over 60 miles there's a lot of flat water.

I replied on another forum but forgot about the Androscoggin particularly between Errol and. Pontook dam in NH. Also the Moose River as part of the Bow trip .
