Of all the mistakes I was invisioning in the long run it was pretty easy to deal with it seems.
I think we have all had our own projects from heck, but just look how much you are learning.

Ah man, that sucks. I hate making dumb mistakes because I get complacent and stop paying attention. If anyone deserves the rest of this project to go smoothly it's you.

Am I ever happy that I didn't take that boat as a trade for the DY Special I was selling.
Really looks like the project from heck...I've had too many of those. Deceptively simple fixes that quickly turn into nightmares!!

But now you're almost done!! And all that suffering has made you a better man, or at least, that's how I choose to remember my personal challenges.
In the overall scheme of things, it's only a few minutes of your lifetime. I know that's a nice performing hull, hope you enjoy it!

Today I did a little fixing of the seat/butt pad. I had thought about buying something new but couldn't seem to find anything I liked or it was way out of my cheap arsed yankee price range. I figured there's still life left in this despite my surgery to remove it. Just hit the link from above and scroll to today's date. Before I go to reinstall it again I'm making sure I have some nice colored tape on the front end of the freaking seat! I already have a piece of paper inside the boat that says, "HEY DUMBASS, THIS WAY!" (BTW stripperguy, that is what my mother would say to me when I forked up, Doug, Doug, Doug! ;-)

Reminds me of a photo someone we know posted years ago, showing "left" and "right" written inside the bow of his tandem (for when he paddled bow, I think he said).
