What is the Ottertail below the guide paddle? And how long is it?

This is 56.5 inches long and appears to be figured maple. The brown paddle bag goes with it. This is a really nice piece of wood and does not seem to have been used much. Let me know if this doesn't answer your questions.

Oh, my. Brown bag? That's what we took our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to school in if we didn't want to carry a metal Batman lunch box. I'm sure that lovely (but possibly heavy?) maple paddle goes in a custom made, earth tone, microfiber paddle sock.

I didnt measure it but the Guide seems to be 62 in long
It once belonged to a friend of mine who died without being able to give provenance
Seems to be birds eye
Going to the WCHA auction so there will be a feel and see period before the actual auction
she would have liked that method of disposal
It isn't mine to sell
