So this on is ready for pick up by the client!! Sitka spruce and white ash, multiple coats of warmed up boiled linseed oil, finish with beeswax and coconut oil mix. the bag is natural 12oz canvas with wool blanket collar, moose antler button, ribbon pull and veg tan leather friction slider.
I'm pretty happy with that one, especially the steam bent ash edge guard on the blade!!

And the bag is not to bad either!!

Thank you. As for the ash banding, I think it will work great... I was surprise when I weighted it, it is almost the same weight as the cherry ash paddle I made longtime ago of the same or similar dimensions! I thought the sitka spruce would make it a lot lighter....
