This canoe is approximately 35 years old. My father, brother and I built it when I was a teenager. I honestly don’t remember much about the construction. Other than it is wood strips. We designed in with a flat aft to hold a small motor and it is very wide, I’ve thrown cast nets from it.
It is in great condition but it is a project canoe. The seats have new cane on them. My husband had sanded down the surface to re-apply the resin. Before this was completed, he unexpectedly passed away. Now, I need to sell the canoe because it takes up to much space and I cannot handle it on my own. It is very heavy.
