First paddle of the year...

Went for my first paddle of the year. Yukon river down the street from our house. Surfed a bit then made my way down eddy hopping, and poled back up a small channel that brought me just above my initial put in... Paddled down played around and back home....

Wow, so where is Spring after all... there is open water up in the Yukon and none in Manitoba. Snow in the forecast tomorrow. You are a lucky man.

Lucky, I don't know, we didn't have much of a winter and not much snow pack either, so it might be a tough summer to find good water. I mean the main rivers, will have water, but the play spot/creek/rivers might stay pretty bonny!!
