After moving leftover materials from the new shed to the old shed I finally had room to move the Bell Mystic into the Canoe Shed to thaw out, the tarp I had put on it blew off and then the snow came. First I had to get the ice off it and used a rubber mallet to gently pound it off, I was sweating hoping I wouldn't break the hull in the sub-zero temps. It was only about 2 degrees out. I swear I was dressed like Charlie Brown!

Last night I screwed in two hooks so I could suspend it from the ceiling as that is where the heat goes in this new shed. With my newly messed up rib it was a chore to get it up but there it was and the leftover ice and snow melted off quickly. I'm going to leave it there for a while so the core can dry out before I begin repairs. I gotta say with the shed at 16' x 20' there is not a lot of wiggle room with the boat at 18' 6" but with it up in the air I can access my cans of liquid courage no problem! There ya go McCrea! Also the majority of the heat is going up to the ceiling right now until I can get a fan installed to move the heat lower and of course some kind of walls would also help, in time.

The longest boat in the fleet right now and it's actually slotted for someone else. It is going to be an interesting and challenging rebuild. A few pictures. Damnation, it is so good to work on a boat again!

Oh heck yeah. Let that puppy dry out for a spell, while you futz around in your new warm shop making spice racks and cupcake holders, and then have at it.

I did not see any actual boat work in those photos, other than hanging it from the ceiling to dry.

You want that kind of boat work? Come down here and help me move this freaking 20 foot long 110 lb motor freighter around. It is a 50 foot hike to get from one side of it to the other, and I have been taking that walk 20 times a day for a month.

No work yet, as you said, let it dry out. I have no desire to move that monster boat of yours and Joel's. Hopefully it will make from the garage to the top of the driveway before more snow flies! Little late in the season for that climb up Mt Everest of a driveway if the weather changes! The boat and the trailer could make for some great sights with Christmas lights strung on them!

Gawd, you are right. Some battery operated or solar twinkle lights would make Joel's day. Or night.
