Nice pictures Mike...what is the red canoe with the wood interior? Is this one you've built?

Yup, that’s my Red Kite, bought the plans from Green Valley…a J Winters design, very versatile hull. It ended up too heavy for longer trips so I made the Carbon Copy.
I keep offering for some folks to borrow it to see if they like a solo boat, but have had very few takers!
That Red Kite is 39 lbs, the Carbon Copy is 29 lbs, but should have been lighter yet, I blame the carbon gunnels and my own lack of foresight.
