I too have been limited to going beltless due to surgery from time to time, but carry too much crap in my pockets for any elastic I've ever found. I went with "tradesman's" suspenders meant for holding tool belts, they're a mix of elastic in the chest and back, but heavy webbing across the shoulders and wear points. the clips are adjustable by releasing the buckle, spinning it a few times (the attachment has a threaded stud) and reclosing it.
Not sure what brand because the name wore off years ago, but I'd lay odds that it's Kuny, because most of my tool-belts and pouches are that brand.
