Ross, perhaps consider the advice at the beginning of this thread again, before you plunge in. Do yourself a favour and find another canoe that you can build your own memories with, in a safe and confident fashion. If you start buying epoxy and cloth, you are quickly going to exceed your original budget, and you are still going to have, well, to put it nicely, an ugly canoe of suspect quality.
One hole down bunch more to go! It's not too hard. Putting the fiberglass on is kind of interesting. I realize fixing the canoe isn't the best decision but it will prolong it's life for a while. I'm not sure how much use it will get. If nothing else it will be good practice when it comes time to patch my sailboat (sunfish style). went with epoxy resin due to cost. Depending on the amount I use I should have $50 in it including foam but we'll see.
Heres the next old patch I'm going to redo. It's big. I haven't sanded it down yet. I'm wondering if I should do it in two patches so the boat doesn't move around when I'm in the process.
