I just watched on Youtube, a guy destroying a beautiful cedar stripper he had built !

I cried ! :eek::(

I hope someone can post the link !

I know building these things is crazy, but this guy went way overboard !

Waist of a good canoe, prove one thing that they are quite tough those strippers.... One thing that I think is stupid other than destroying a good boat( I understand why he's doing it... kind of) is the fact that he doesn't wear any safety gear of any sort wile paddling, chainsawing, being towed etc... A bit of an idiot if you ask me!!

What do you mean, in at least one scene he had safety glasses on is forehead.
Yes the boats are tougher than they look.

And he was wearing a life jacket when the 4-wheeler was towing him around the field.

Canoe took the abuse quite well. Never did see a gunwale break.

There was an inwhale that was flopping around in the part where he goes down rock slide...

Yeah, I thought that drop off the cliff would be the end of the canoe, but it seemed to have survived that pretty well. At least well enough to be repairable.

You are promoting this... why?

Promoting isn't the word. I won't be sending him any money, nor would I recommend you to ! !

In a sick way, it was interesting to see what he did. Kind of like those government car crash tests. The ones where they take two cars, and crash them, head on.

I can however identify with the canoe flying off the rack, going down the highway.

Strange, but interesting. I wonder if he was unhappy with his build and wanted to start over from scratch. Probably, just another youtube clown looking to garner viewers, so we are helping him out by watching.

What most impressed me was 1. the toughness of the canoe and 2. the quality of the production. He's got multiple cameras shooting from different angles, including a drone (which you can see fly through the scene at 2:13). It's not grainy or handheld shakey. Some of it is just for visual effect, like the fire, which looks to me like it is burning on the far side of the canoe. That's kind of clever because otherwise he couldn't burn it and blow it up in the next scene.

It is pretty stupid that the guy wears a pfd while being pulled on land but doesn't wear a pfd down the rapid. Well, who cares about safety, it's all about the views. He's got 900 so far, but this video has only been out there for a few days. We can bump that up a little, but there are only so many canoetripping viewers. I'll be curious to see where the count ends up.

Nor subscribe to his channel.

I once had a therapy boat, and wouldn't think of do that.

I do have to give him some credit for the X effect he created when he blew up what was left of the canoe.
