I'm part of a paddling group that get's together twice a year (spring and fall) to paddle in the Ozarks in MO and AR. We do day trips on the river we are going to. On another forum some of you may have seen the post under Ozark Rendezvous Group. Our Spring trip for 2025 will be at the Buffalo River in Arkansas from April 30th to May 4. Most will arrive on the 30th and will paddle the 1st, 2nd and 3rd and then depart on the 4th. Folks that are retired have come early and stayed later. We plan on camping at Ozark Campground. We are always looking for new folks to paddle with; anyone is welcome, kids/pets are also welcome. Thanks! Pam

I paddled the Current Rv maybe 25 years ago during my daughter’s Spring Break in March for 3-4 nights. It was a real nice trip during which we saw an only a couple of fishermen. I remember passing canoe liveries with huge piles of aluminum canoes so we were glad we went when we did.

Will my prius make it from the highway to the campground? I live on gravel so don't care about the dirt but would like to bring my prius instead the old 4x4 chevy tahoe for gas savings.

You should be fine going to the campground, it is gravel but it's not typically awful. Please note I haven't been there since Spring of 2023, so not sure if anything has changed, but that road has never been that bad. Now you won't want to take it down Kyles Landing but we'll figure out shuttle.
