There are times when our WNY climate can be exasperating! Your above reasons are much more alarming them the weather and would be my primary reason for bailing out. Just can't convince Grandma that it's time to leave:(

#2 son is a Lego nut. Rec'd his 1st set when he was 4 and figured out how to put it together just from looking at the pictures. He still has all the pieces in the original box. He is now 46 and is still infatuated when them. He took his family to Lego Land on vacation.

Heatwave here today: 17.6*F. Warmest it has been in over a week. When my wife got up this morning it was -11.9*F, nearly 30* swing.

Not sure I want to do, or watch, that but since it is finally 2*F I think I'll take the dog out, have lunch and then go ski for a couple hours (it's close).:cool:

Sadly, I'm not allowed to take our dog canoeing (she's my wife's lap warmer). At 12 lbs. she wouldn't be useful as ballast but wouldn't be much problem moving around or being at my seat. She is registered as Princess Annie Canoe and has yet to be in one. Sad, so very sad.

Number 3 just a wee bit out of your price range? Our 1st house, brand new, wasn't much more than that. All are gorgeous boats and I'd be afraid of scratching them. I'd have to hang one in our living room and call it a work of art.

No need to, if everybody wanted to live in the same part of the country there wouldn't be enough space to do those things that draw us to that part of the country.
