What a trip! I saw your sign in at Lila and your destinations, scoured the map for a local Buck Pond, and wondered how you would get there. Never even considered the tracks. We spent Tuesday through Friday on Lila. I think it was Wednesday and we heard the train go through.

Great report Conk! I can't believe I've never spied that foundation at Beaverdam. And that little unnamed pond south of Clear and west of Red Horse not only had impenetrable beech but such thick small spruces I almost couldn't get the boat in the water. I used that route on a solo trip to go...

Looks like a great trip. I've done a couple of searches in the area. From the Unknown Pond Trail crossing to where Unknown Pond's outlet meets the Cedar, bushwhacking back over White Birch Ridge to our point of origin. And years ago, a search in the Pine Pond area. That coupled with your Chain...
