Didn’t get around to building a second canoe this winter. So decided to make a wannigan/cooler with some left over strips. Not done yet, but have a good start.Pretty! Reminds me of a wannigan, woffigan girlfriend I had once.

Getting closer to finishing this off. It became strictly a cooler. It has 1” of insulation on the sides, with 2” on the top and bottom. Epoxy and glass is all done. Need to sand and varnish.
Looks awesome! Love the cup holders on the top, great idea! Where did you pick up the bungee style closing straps?

I thought they kind of looked like Jeep hood latches. Great job! Have you considered making a couple of simple stands for when on land? Something like a barrel stand.
Thanks! Yes, they do resemble Jeep latches, great eye, never even thought of that. I thought about a stand, but don’t think I’m going to make one. Planning on running the Missouri River Breaks in May, get to see how the cooler works then.
