Not sure I made a good deal but I just swapped my NC Prospector 15 for a Swift Prospector 14. I’m hoping the expedition Kevlar will hold up to the Totogatic. I shed 20 lbs of weight for a much more maneuverable package. Not sure if it’s stable enough for my dog. Now I want to go for a paddle.IMG_1832.jpeg

Bill Swift said in a recent video posted here that they sell more Prospector 14s than all their other solo canoes combined. Hope it works out for you.

Is this canoe going to have the thwart/seatback problem that your Phoenix does?

No. They put some forethought into this design.

This deal has been in the works for months. My hope is the Exped Kevlar will hold up at least as well as the Blue Steel. The river level can play havoc with hulls. The improved maneuverability should aid in hull preservation.

Keep us posted. I am interested in that boat and the layup. No matter how hard I try I am bumping, scraping or banging my canoe around on land and in the water.
