Drilling Lining Holes in My Hull

Nice job, Tony. For those who might come upon this thread first, it might be informative to describe what tools you used to make the clean hole, what diameter hole, what component parts you used, and where you got them.

Best way to do it. PVC works too.
Many people line off the thwarts. I have done it before. Too top heavy.

Materials, Tools List:
Everything is available at Lowe’s except for the epoxy.

• A couple feet of 5/8” OD reinforced vinyl tubing

• (4) 1/2” plastic box adapters (5/8” ID) - make sure your vinyl tubing will fit - I have run across some variances, depending on suppliers

• G-flex 655 epoxy

• Sanding sponges (80, 150 grits)

• Two #2 pencils

• Tongue depressors (for spreading, mixing epoxy)

• Hole saw (I use a 21.5mm which is perfect for the bushing)

• Small drill bit for guide holes

• Tape measure

• Dremel with cutoff saw and grinding cone

• Sharp knife

• 2 quick clamps

• Alcohol

• Paper towels

• Black sharpie
