Went for a short paddle this morning

Got on the water about 07:30 and spent about 4 hours out on the lake. We were kinda looking for an area to scout for next years canoe/camp/deer hunt. 15 or 20 mph wind picked up and convinced us to get off of the water though. And we did wear our PFDs. Probably pick up some new ones more suitable for paddling next week. Took a few pics.....

What is the fishing like in that lake/reservoir?

With all the dead standing timber, any vegetation around should help hold some good Largemouth.

Fishing is great. The lake was made in the 80s. The northwest half is flooded woodland for hunting and fishing. The southeast portion is more for summertime drunken recriationers from Tulsa. That's why we are finding the Fall and Winter months so attractive. If I recall correctly it was stocked with Florida bass and Hybrids. Don't quote me on that though.

That's a neat looking lake!
