My wife and I have been using the Trangia stove and cookset for over 20 years. It's a simple, foolproof, and effective alcohol stove that's especially well-suited for canoe trippers, though we have used it on many backpacking trips and when winter camping. In all the years we've used it, it's never failed us; not once, not even for a single meal. I've made a video review I made that describes it's pros and cons.
Part 1 is a description and explanation of the Trangia Stove and cookset. (model: Trangia 25-5 UL): http://youtu.be/jdZEw-anygs
Part 2 of the video is a boil test for those who are curious about boil times and how much water one can boil before having to refill the burner: http://youtu.be/ppQUUTzIHRY
Below are some images of the stove.

Hope this helps,
