Us Americans, NH anyway, are close to ice out on the rivers, another month. Just a tease as the weather this year has been pretty funky! Stir crazy and working on boats is nothing more then a band aid!

The great Bingo caller in the sky has been dishing out a crazy game, calling funny numbers this year. Numbers like +12C, -30C and 0C, all in the same month. Those aren't even on my Bingo card but they have been regularly seen outside my back door. Mild followed by intense cold followed by a foot of snow followed by more deep cold followed by spring conditions followed by freezing rain followed by more winter...Wild numbers being called, but all you can really do is play along.
And I expect right around April I'll have a full card. Just in time...Ice out. BINGO!!

Today at lunch, as usual, there was a lot of joking going back and forth bewteen myself, my dad, his grandkids, and the 6 year old boy I mentor. We were playing the finger game (my dad's invention) when someone suggested we use letters rather than numbers (a near impossibility if you knew the game) to which my dad quipped it would be just like bingo and we could call out something like A5. One of the grandkids made a comment about bingo not using the letter 'A' which drew a look and comment of surprise from my dad. We all looked at him like he was nuts and someone said, "it's called BINGO not BANGO. This brought the house down and then they brought our food.
