I did the French once.....mid summer, thought the rocky shores grew some kind of unique white and brown flower, until I got closer, and saw that the shorelines were covered in toilet paper and crap. Saw more people in four days than the amount that actually live in my town. Looks like early season might be the time to go.

My parents have a cottage on the French. Anywhere that you can get a boat onto is very busy now. There are some great spots to canoe though that you won't see very many people. Fall is my favourite time as the colours of the leaves look great against all of that ragged granite. This was a very well done video and makes me want to get out there and explore some more of the French
