This has dang little to do with canoeing, except to say I hurt my back and won't be tossing any canoes around for a bit. I was trying to read my MRI results and went looking for an online medical dictionary. This one from the allnurses.com site is very cute, check it out if you need a little chuckle.

I've been ordered to not lift anything heavy. Among activities I'm approved for is paddling. My doc was very enthusiastic: "yes, paddling is great and helps strengthen the core muscles." My wife will be hearing about that one. As far as I'm concerned, the whole problem was caused by not enough paddling! She is such a sweetie she will probably offer to carry my canoe, but I'd have to get a much lighter canoe for that to work.

How bout the one Mike McCrea dug up?
I guess that would be a divorce boat. But just get someone else to plonk it in and moor to dock
