New to me!!

You have used it many times before, check out the SDS sheet or as they call it the "technical data sheet", (Boiled) Linseed Oil and some sort of chemical drying agent that isn't lead. It is zirconium and cobalt, but it could be manganese, iron, or some other metal catalyst. I'm just calling BS on their natural claims. I'm cynical, worked in the Ag and Chemistry business too long.

Edit: Warning: Technical BS ahead, somehow I've become a stickler to the law in this one area (mainly because I could have been fined and jailed if I ignored it), if a chemical product doesn't have a GHS (Globally Harmonized System) label or an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) instead of the old MSDS (MaterialSDS) or no documents at all, it's probably bullpucky.

Basically, if you can't get a Safety Data Sheet for a manufactured chemical (or all natural) product from their website, it's most likely snake oil.

Paddle oil? How are they going to make money on that? Overall oils have multiple purposes..
No MSDS that I can see.. I wouldn't pay extra for it.

Yup, looks like it's linseed oil. Interesting, they say it is for untreated Coniferous wood. So does that mean oiling hardwood, something I've been doing for years, is no longer fashionable?

Ha ha, Alan, so little do you know, as people fall further into the married state, they spend a lot more time in their garages oiling their wood and pursuing other related but forbidden activities, like listening to CBC radio on an Saturday afternoon.

YUP, that is why I'm building a shop that is not part of the house lol!

I know what you mean, but in the past I've used some other stuff that people say it is this or that and didn't work as good or at least the same as my this or that so I just thought I would pass it along.... I'm sure it would be better than gunnel guard stuff sold by I don't remember who...

Anyway, just thought I would pass it along... I'm sad that they have to kill snakes to make that oil!!

White pure beeswax blended with boiled linseed oil and turpentine 2-1-1 mix provides great waterproof protection for any Woodstock used outdoors. Melt the wax then slowly stir in the others. It turns to a soft paste after cooling. Rub it into the paddle then drive it in with a heat gun. I have a self-made gator paddle I've treated accordingly for 12years. Looks and works great.

Thank you Doc, I do my own mix as well and I have on that is really similar!
