More Bob's Special painting

I have two Chestnut Bob's Specials, this one is getting restored by me at home as it was in pretty good shape compared to my other Bob's. Today I applied the 3rd coat of Red paint.

I reused the old gunnels, they just need some sanding and varnish after the hull is finished. I taped them off and painted the underneath of the gunnels, those white blotches are a glazing material that covers imperfections. My canoe has alot of imperfections so I just go after the big stuff.



Almost finished with the foam brush.



Finished with the 3rd coat.

Those are nice enough to take to Assembly this year! But of course, now you have to go scratch them, or, sell them to fund trips to Canada.

Wowza, that's red, my favorite canoe colour! Sure looks nice!

I'm pretty sure red is faster than the one painted...um, lavender.
That Bob is looking sharp.
