Anyone know of an epoxy pigment that will closely match a Swift canoe? I’d like to find a US source if possible.

I’ve looked online and I guess a mica pigment would be best. My canoe is a vibrant forest green. No detail on the swift website. I did reach out to swift but
no response yet, and I would like US options.IMG_5468.png

I used to build sailboats and never liked gelcoat. When I repair canoes I just paint em. Epoxy paint is over rated.

I would call Jamestown distributors and speak with a tech. I have matched gel coats with their pigments before and it has worked well for patching purposes.

If it isn’t a large fix, I personally would not paint it.

I have used Evercoat Marine's gelcoat repair kit for years with good results. It has all the base colors that allow you to mix and match as required, which comes in handy when you're matching a faded color. But most late model Swift's aren't gel-coat (except the champagne bottom) but tinted epoxy. Unless it's a major repair, I usually use just clear epoxy or G-flex and the existing color will show through. My Kee 14 is green as well.
