My trailer needs some load stops to center the entire canoe over the box. Otherwise, the only way to keep the canoe in place is to strap it near the edge. I’m basically looking for a hack. After cruising the local hardware stores, have some ideas, but nothing clean and easily adjustable. Some stainless square U bolts and padded corner braces are my best thought so far. Spring Creek outfitters has some load bars but full dimensions are not published, and they want a lot of money for them. Load bars are 2”x2.5”.
