The increased capacity should mean that HD video streaming will be available everywhere (exactly where is that thunderstorm anyway, and what are the kids having for dinner back home, time to check )... and remote monitoring of equipment and devices should be easier (is the car safe on that remote dirt road, should I call the cops).
Iridium has high hopes for increased connectivity in remote places and new developments in high-speed internet offerings. Some of this is already available... still, the increased service could mean more competition and prices will be coming down. That's if it catches on, maybe people won't want it.
Another benefit could be fewer screaming kids at campsites, since the higher speed and bandwidth will mean more of them will stay glued to their smart phones 100% of the time. Cool... Lady Gaga.
