Help with Canoe Identification

Hello,

I just bought a canoe from a friend of a friend and I cannot find any information about it on the internet.

It appears to be kevlar, it is 18' 5' long but probably weighs around 50 lbs give or take.

I bought it near Saratoga Springs NY but I have no other information on it.

Anyone here know anything about this particular canoe maker?

Canoes commercially manufactured after 1972 are supposed to have a 12 character (letters and numbers) HIN number to identify them. Do you see any such number on a plate or tag or even scratched anywhere on the hull? A homemade canoe may be exempt from the HIN requirement. I've never heard the name Wellington associated with canoes, but maybe someone else has.

I did some web searching but didn't have any more luck than the OP. Looking for the HIN is a great idea; it looks like a lot of fit & finish for a one-off hull or a DIY.
