First trip of the season....

So after getting busy with stuff and not busy with stuff, thinking we wouldn't able to go for our fall moose trip, we finally decided that it would be happening. September 15 to the 22 or so... We will end up at the same lake as a few years back unless plans changes! So basically a few hours paddle down to the second lake and then set up a base camp(if no one is there already... If people are there will wing a plan B on the spot! I will be using that new to me Campfire tent and that is exciting... Rest of the gear will be the same... Ho wait a minute, almost the same. I got a pair of knee high waterproof neoprene socks to wear in my 16" Main Hunting Boots so they it will make them really warm and waterproof(my 12" aways been waterproof, but the 16" no so much!!) Pretty much a as good or better than a pair of muck boots, more versatile, lighter and easier to dry!! Anyway, it is still a while away, but it is exciting to be starting to get things rolling!!

Good luck with the Moose hunt. But be sure to take lots of pics of that campfire tent and that beautiful Yukon scenery!
