Fall in the BWCA

Went to the BWCA for a five day trip this Fall. What a great time to be up there !!!

Gabbro.
​ The Fall colors were great, saw some Trumpeter swans, otters, and the Northern lights one night.

That's a great area, years ago it was on a motor route and some of the local resorts from Ely had boats docked on Little Gabbro. There was also a dam at the outlet of little Gabbro that had all of the water levels 6-8 feet higher.

​Thanks for the info ! Imagining the level 6-8' higher, things would have looked a lot different ! I like them at this level !

Yeah, don't know if you went down to the far end of Bald Eagle but where there is now a river winding through a boggy marsh there used to be a big bay that was full of crappies. I like it better now without the motor boats.
