Done it again. Phone fell out of back pocket into thunderbox
This however was a virgin blue porta potty with nice blue disinfectant liquid
I think all phones should be sold with dry bags
I do have one but was not using it
The phone still works but the innards are dyed and the screen is blue
Apologies for misspelled big as I can't see what I wrote
There is a picture on the screen from the phone looking up. The toilet seat shoes.

Have a great weekend paddling!

Two drowned phones in less than five months, YC? You never had that problem when you were 40, I bet.

Hard to do, but zippered pockets only on land. Into a waterproof Dry Pak with lanyard attached to PFD or day bag before getting into any boat.

I am amazed it still works.. But I cant read the screen unless I turn up the brightness setting all the way and then the phone eats the battery. I just can't get over the toilet view being my new screensaver and it shows no matter what the background is!

jeez, this thread wasn't what I thought when I decided to look inside :)

Yeah, crapty deal YC. ( someone had to say it).

I once had a flight engineer on a Herc drop his flashlight in the crapter and it ended up in the lavatory cart, clogging the drain valve. Yes, that one is my job to fix. I have a good conversation piece though.

I don't know if the following qualifies as an electronic mishap. The day before yesterday I lost my car keys in the woods. They could have been anywhere in a 3 acre area with knee high nettles. I looked for a while near the car and then gave up, retrieved the hidden spare, and went home. A quick check on the interweb determined that a new car key could cost me $300 (I had two on the ring). I figured a few hours searching might be worth my while. I borrowed a metal detector and found them within 3 minutes. That was a load of my chest.
